Kaiteriteri Holiday home

Situated behind Kaiteriteri beach is this calm and peaceful architecturally designed holiday home.

The design is sleek, simple and uncluttered with glass breezeways linking the separate buildings.  Each having a beautiful feeling about them, one of both restful yet soft.

The location of the building platform was positioned on very swampy ground so one hundred piles were driven to create a floating concrete floor.

Each building has been constructed using a Portius Framing System which created a water-proof building within days.

The exterior of the buildings entail three different cladding systems.  Vertical weatherboard, horizontal weatherboard and Plywood with 3 dimensional battens.

The internal walls were pre-finished plywood from ‘Ply Play’ with selected painted walls in other areas for contrast.

The kitchen, bunkroom and bathrooms all have beautiful bespoke joinery.

This home was a winning design in the 2020 Nelson/Marlborough Architectural Awards.
